BART needed to consolidate offices from 4 locations in downtown Oakland. Aegis Realty Partners identified a major tenant (IBM) that would vacate to meet BART’s needs.
BART, www.bart.org, is comprised of 43 stations and covers 104 miles around the San Francisco Bay Area.
The Kaiser Center was in the process of a very complicated sale as part of Kaiser Aluminum’s bankruptcy reorganization. Aegis Realty Partners identified the BART requirement for the transitional
ownership and educated BART on the vacancy and sale process. Subsequent to the sale of the building, Aegis Realty Partners helped BART to complete a 10 year lease for their administrative headquarters.
