Challenges: Aegis worked on behalf
of SEIU to purchase a new headquarter
building within Alameda County. Many
challenges faced SEIU including a need
for abundant paking, central location to
public transit, and easy access from
freeways, Aegis was able to nd a building
within the requested parameters and
within the Union’s budget.
SEIU retained Aegis to help them secure a
new headquarters building in Alameda
County. Aegis worked with SEIU for over
2 years before nding a 70,000 square foot
building to house their new offices. The
challenge was finding an empty office
building within the Union’s budget that had
abundant parking and was well located
near public transit. The new building,
located on Hegenberger Road, more than
doubles the size of their headquarters and
will house administrative offices and a
training facility. SEIU retained Aegis in the
sale of the Union’s existing 30,000 square
foot headquarters building located in
downtown Oakland.
