Bio Med Realty Announces Matching Program

In a very innovative marketing campaign, BioMed Realty, www.biomedrealty.com, announced a matching program geared towards federal grants.

In keeping with our commitment to being The Leading Provider of Real Estate to the Life Science Industry®, we are pleased to announce BioMed Realty Trust, Inc.’s Grant Matching Program in conjunction with federal grant funding opportunities in the recently enacted Recovery Act of 2009. The stated principal objective of the federal program is to facilitate and enhance biomedical and behavioral research by supporting the cost of designing and improving non-Federal research facilities. At BioMed, we are supporting this goal and encouraging eligible organizations and institutions to apply for federal funds with an innovative grant matching opportunity to provide further assistance in making the necessary improvements to their core facilities which are mission critical to successful research.

Under BioMed’s grant matching program, we will offer up to $100 per leased square foot in matching funds at selected premier properties for prospective tenants who qualify for either federal program – Core Facility Renovation, Repair and Improvement (RFA-RR-09-007) or Extramural Research Facilities Improvement Program (RFA-RR-09-008) – and execute a minimum ten-year lease on or before July 1, 2010 at one of the following eligible properties:
