EMERYVILLE, Calif., October 15, 2004 – Onyx Pharmaceutical, a cancer treatment development firm, signed a 23,222 square foot sublease at 2100 Powell Street in Emeryville. Onyx signed a five year lease and will occupy in November 2004. Matt Elmquist and Alan Bernier of Aegis Realty Partners represented Onyx. The sublandlord is Siebel Systems.

Established in 1992, Onyx Pharmaceuticals is a publicly traded company on the Nasdaq under the symbol ONXX. The company is focused on developing cancer treatments using a new state of the art molecule cell cycle inhibitor in clinical testing. The company will be relocating its offices from 3023-3035 Research Drive in Richmond. The new office space will accommodate their office space expansion needs.
