Foley & Mansfield Hiring Aggresively in East Bay

Foley and Mansfield a Minneapolis based firm, has made a push into the east bay taking up 24,000 square feet in Oakland’s City Center. The push started by hiring 12 attorney’s from Emeryville’s Bishop, Barry, Howe, Haney & Ryder including partners Douglas Wah and Scott Wood. The firm plans to add 10 more attorney’s by the end of summer explained the firm’s managing partner. This acquisition more than tripled the old offices which were locate in Walnut Creek. The law firm which specializes in mesothelioma has seen the workload increase due to the number of claims. Other firms that specialize in the same field include Archer Norris, Filice Brown Eassa & McLeod LLP, Burnham and Brown and Hanley and Harley to name a few. The group’s departure also brought about 30 clients while others went to other firms. This is just another example of the professional presence in Oakland’s City Center and will be an interesting to watch as other firms follow suit.
