• DKS Associates leased 9,494sf at 1000 Broadway for 5 years in Oakland, CA
• Oncologic, Inc. leased 8,073sf at 600 Bancroft Way in Berkeley, CA

Northgate Environmental Management, Inc. is a company that offers environmental engineering services. After an extensive search in the East Bay, Alan Bernier and Matt Elmquist of Aegis Realty Partners identified Oakland’s Rotunda building as the ideal fit for Northgate. Among Northgate’s requirements were that its headquarters be close to transportation, retail amenities, and provide ample parking for staff – all while maintaining the look and feel of the company’s corporate culture.

McInerney & Dillon is a law firm based in Oakland. After searching the majority of available space in the I-80/I-880 corridor, Scott Stone and Ali Seals identified Lake Merritt Plaza at 1999 Harrison Street as an ideal building to house the firm. Given Lake Merritt Plaza’s Class A identity, ample access to parking and transportation and proximity to amenities, McInerney & Dillon made the gladly chose to make 1999 Harrison home for the next 10 years.

Neurobiological Technologies, Inc. (NTI) is a research and development firm in physical and engineering sciences. In an effort to relocate to a project with a more central location, NTI considered facilities in both the East Bay as well as San Francisco. After an exhaustive search, Alan Bernier and Matt Elmquist of Aegis identified 2000 Powell as an ideal relocation alternative for NTI given its easy freeway access and proximity to San Francisco and Oakland.

DKS Associates is a national employee-owned transportation planning and engineering firm. Ideally, DKS would be centrally located in Downtown Oakland within walking distance of BART and other retail amenities. Given the nature of their business, DKS also needed to have parking in close proximity to their headquarters. After searching both Class A and Class B properties in Downtown Oakland, Ali Seals and Scott Stone identified 1000 Broadway as a model relocation alternative for DKS given its subterranean parking and proximity to BART and retail amenities. Upon consummation of the transaction, Seals and Stone successfully structured a unique rent schedule and Tenant Improvement allocation to fit the individual needs of DKS.

Oncologic, Inc. is a biotech firm focusing in research for cancer treatment. After scouring the East Bay for potential relocation alternatives, Garrett Kreuger and Scott Stone identified 600 Bancroft as being an appropriate fit for the company. Oncologic must be centrally located with ample access to major freeways which made 600 Bancroft a very logical choice. Kreuger and Stone also successfully negotiated an aggressive Tenant Improvement package to address the company’s unique lab and research facility needs. Oncologic will occupy the space in 600 Bancroft beginning September of 2005.
