Oakland, Calif., June 23, 2004 – Collins & Mason, a CPA firm, and Xantrion, a computer consulting firm, have formed a joint venture and purchased 651 20th Street in downtown Oakland. The companies will owner-occupy the two-story, 10,000 square foot building, upon completion of improvements later this year.

The firms conducted an extensive review of the market before taking advantage of aggressive pricing, favorable SBA financing to acquire 651 20th Street. The building is located adjacent to a new County of Alameda office development (slated to break ground in late July), as well as in close proximity to the proposed Uptown project and a mixed-use development on the Greyhound bus terminal.

According to Teresa Mason, principal of Collins & Mason, “Our firm has leased space for the past 20 years. We have discussed acquiring a building for our business for some time, and felt this was a solid investment opportunity.
